Today, 5/19/2020, Buffalo Trace announced they are releasing a Weller Single Barrel that will be an annual release. It is set to be on store shelves in early June 2020 and will feature a cork stopped bottle.

I suspect this will be as difficult as other allocated bourbons. Will this follow the same distribution lines and/or any tips for getting your hands on a bottle on the primary market?
Unfortunately, I don’t really know many details except what I included…which I know is very minimal. Luckily, I’m going to be part of a large zoom chat with a a brand manager from Buffalo Trace tomorrow night as part of a Bourbon Group I’m in. I (and others I’m sure) will have a ton of questions about this and the E.H. Taylor 18 that’s coming out.
Oh, I should say, one huge thing we can all do to improve their chances at scoring a bottle is to continue working on your relationship with clerks and managers at your favorite stores.
